Who it is for

Professionals who use Claude as a productivity tool, in operations, marketing, project management, education or communications, with limited to moderate technical skill. It is not aimed at developers who build against the API.

What it covers

No questions about implementing Claude. The exam asks how a person in a non-technical role should use it inside their work. Output evaluation and validation is the heaviest domain, at 21%.

A published review by someone who passed it calls out three things:

  • Personas. Many questions put you in the seat of a knowledge worker or a marketing associate.
  • Claude Projects. They come up often, along with artifacts, connectors and the model tiers.
  • Judgement. Spotting a likely hallucination, handling sensitive data, and knowing when a task should go to a developer or an architect.

Is it easy

Not as easy as a non-technical exam sounds. The same review says the answers are less clear-cut than in the technical exams, because they turn on business context and not on a fact you can look up.

It also says this is the one exam where Anthropic’s official prep courses match what the exam asks.

Should an engineer take it

It is optional for someone who builds. The suggested order puts it last, for the full set. For a non-technical person it is the only one of the four to take.
